Pamela Bob has taken over as Clarice Starling in the off-Broadway spoof Silence! The Musical. Stephen Bienskie will also return to the role of serial killer Buffalo Bill on October 31 at the new Elektra Theatre in Times Square.
Silence! The Musical is a raunchy satire of the Academy Award-winning film The Silence of the Lambs, retelling the story of rookie FBI agent Clarice Starling (Bob) and the brilliantly sadistic cannibal Dr. Hannibal Lecter (Harry Bouvy), complete with a singing chorus of lambs, a serial killer hoedown and singing cannibals. The production also stars Ashlee Dupré, Stephen Hanna, Howard Kaye, James Moye, Topher Nuccio, Ronica V. Reddick, Kimberly Stern and Doug Trapp.
Bob's theater credits include Extraordinary Ordinary and How to Save the World and Find True Love. Bienskie starred as Buffalo Bill for two months in the Los Angeles production of Silence!. He appeared on Broadway as Rum Tum Tugger in the final company of Cats, and has appeared off-Broadway in The Last Session. His TV credits include The Sopranos and Blue Bloods.
Silence! boasts a book by Hunter Bell, music and lyrics by Jon and Al Kaplan, and direction and choreography by Christopher Gattelli. The production opened on July 9, 2011 and features a set design by Scott Pask, costumes by David Kaley, lighting by Jeff Croiter and sound by Carl Casella.
